Nippon Paint Marine, Japan, the fifth largest marine paint manufacturing giant signed agreement with XShip Analytics for providing ship performance analysis of ships using their coating solution as per ISO 19030 guidelines. The agreement was signed by Seiichiro Shirahata, President, Nippon Paint Marine and Sandith Thandasherry, CEO of XShip Analytics. Nippon Paint Marine has over 10,000 ships coated with their paint, of which 2000 ships are with high quality paint. Every year about 2000 ships are dry-docked and undergo coating with their paint.
XShip is one of the leading analytics company in marine industry offering data driven energy management process with large clients like MSC, PIL, Pacific Basin and MTM. XShip has over 1000 ships using their algorithm and that makes it very powerful and it ensures high prediction accuracy. After initial discussions and a visit to Osaka headquarters, the pilot project was initiated in December 2019. The analysis results from XShip platform was verified by Nippon team and we had came up flying colours.
